5 Best Android Gaming Phones

5 best android gaming phones

In order to find the best android gaming phones, we first needed to establish some criteria. Since most of us use our phones primarily for work, social media, and other non-gaming activities, we decided to focus on the best phones for playing Android games only, so we eliminated all devices that weren’t designed with mobile gaming in mind or didn’t have the power to handle graphically intense games in their native resolution without stuttering. We also ignored any smartphones that were released more than six months ago so that we could include the latest and greatest devices in our rankings.

1) Honor Play

There’s no doubt Honor makes some of our favorite affordable Android smartphones, and its Honor Play is a prime example. The handset might not be as high-end as something like Google Pixel 3, but it gives you access to just about every game you could ever want from both Google Play and Amazon Appstore. The phone also features a special cooling system that keeps its Kirin 970 processor running smoothly even in intense games for hours on end. Overall, Honor Play is easily one of our top picks for great budget gaming phones that won’t leave your wallet empty. And with a starting price of $350 (about £270 or AU$450), it doesn’t hurt your bank account either. If you’re looking for an excellent cheap smartphone for gaming, check out Honor Play. It costs less than $400 and offers a clean version of Android along with access to tons of apps, including many popular games. Plus, there are plenty of other reasons why we love it so much! 2) Razer Phone 2

The Razer Phone 2 is a formidable smartphone, featuring one of the most powerful mobile processors available. It can easily support any graphics-intensive games you might want to play on your phone. The battery is no slouch either, clocking in at over 6 hours of screen-on time. If you're a gamer and want to stay up to date with Android's latest mobile OS then consider getting a Razer Phone 2. The performance bump from last year's model should be noticeable. This device will also be compatible with all Daydream VR headsets, so if you like VR gaming it could be a great choice for you.

All three devices are solid choices for gamers looking for their next phone or simply an upgrade from their current device. While they don't offer many features that are specific to gamers, they'll handle anything that isn't too demanding without breaking a sweat.

3) Asus ROG Phone

The Asus ROG Phone is one of few handsets out there that can compete with Apple and Samsung in terms of power. It was first announced back in August 2018, but it’s finally available for purchase as of November 2018. For a mobile gamer or anyone who likes mobile gaming, it looks like an excellent choice. It comes with a 6-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, making it easily one of (if not) the most powerful phone on sale today. The camera isn’t anything to shout about though, coming in at just 12MP and 8MP. However, if you want to play games on your phone then that shouldn’t matter too much. There are two versions of the handset: one with 128GB storage and another with 512GB storage. You also get up to 10 hours of battery life and up to 15W fast charging capabilities, which should mean you don’t have to wait long before you can get going again. The ROG Phone has some pretty hefty specs so it doesn’t come cheap either: prices start from $899 (£799). However, if you want a top-of-the-range smartphone designed specifically for gaming then it could be worth paying extra for something like this.

4) Nubia Red Magic Mars

The Nubia Red Magic Mars is undoubtedly one of, if not THE most powerful Android phone ever released. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and can handle any game you throw at it. The best part is that it even comes with an HDMI port so you can easily connect it to your TV or monitor. For gamers who want power on their mobile device, there’s no better option than the Nubia Red Magic Mars! 5) Poco F1

With its 6.18-inch display, Snapdragon 845 processor, and up to 8GB of RAM, Xiaomi’s Pocophone F1 is arguably one of the most powerful smartphones on earth. But don’t let that discourage you from buying it: After all, if you want a phone for playing mobile games like Fortnite and PUBG Mobile on Android — there are few better choices out there. On top of its impressive specs, Pocophone F1 also has stereo speakers (one is placed at each end of its phone), a microSD card slot, and an infrared emitter. And because it runs Android Oreo, you can access all your favorite apps in Google Play Store. Oh yeah, did we mention that it costs less than $300? If you’re looking for a new smartphone to play your favorite games on, look no further than Poco F1. Here's our full review of Poco F1.
